Garrison Crossing

An architecturally designed 48 home subdivision has been planned for the Army Base Lands in Vedder, B.C. Increased street appeal through detail and choice of materials will emphasize strong architectural guidelines throughout the development.

A diverse cross section of custom family homes were designed with a view to site fit, relationship to the street, neighbours and market demands. Colour palette and material selection sought to create a unique community yet provide distinct character features to delineate one residence from another.

Discussions about marketability allowed the establishment of a series of options in living arrangements and floor plan layouts that allowed several choices for living and future investment. From open floor plans with views between floors above and below with optional lower floor rental opportunities, to the concept of rear lane garages with living quarters above, Garrison Crossing allowed a flexibility in the mix of residential opportunities.

The decision by Canada Lands Properties to maintain existing mature plant growth on existing boulevards greatly enhances the image of the development and the project’s livability. Considered thought was given to the prominence of the Entry way from a pedestrian path adjacent to the neighbourhood street.

Finely crafted curved staircases adorn many of the homes, bisecting the rectilinear plans to create interior interest. Bright, lively colours have been utilized inside and out to establish immediate street identity and pride of ownership. Large spacious rooms have been detailed throughout the residences complete with distinctive features like bay windows, outset seating areas, coffered ceilings and walk-in closets.

Garrison Crossing has become the address of choice in the Chilliwack area.
